3. Great Hall at Queens

Make like you’re in Hogwarts in the stunning Great Hall at Queen’s. The University is licensed by Belfast City Council to hold Civil Marriage Ceremonies.
Facilities are available for hire to couples with a close link with the University – what better way for a student graduate or member of staff of this famous institution to celebrate their wedding than by holding it here?! It even holds up to 150 people for dinner.

Field of Dreams offers a picturesque setting for a ‘simply different’ wedding venue set in 36 acres of lush countryside with seven lakes. The Retreat and Tober House provide wedding parties with a blank canvas to which they can decorate to their own taste.
The Retreat (pictured) is a Scandinavian style wooden chalet situated on the lakeside with a glazed front. It overlooks stunning views of the lake! It can comfortably seat 90 guests and will accommodate up to 100 guests.

Montalto became available to hire under the current owners, Gordon and June Wilson, who have opened up their home to provide a unique location where guests may have full use of the house and estate for the duration of their stay.
The inspiration for The Carriage Rooms came about when a family member used the old threshing mill on the estate as a rustic setting for their own wedding. The seeds of a bold new vision for the future were sown and today this family-run enterprise boasts a world-wide reputation as an award-winning wedding destination and outstanding events venue.
12. Ulster Museum

Celebrate your wedding day surrounded by an exquisite collection of art, history and natural sciences at the award winning Ulster Museum. Situated in Belfast’s Botanic Gardens in the heart of the city, this stunningly transformed landmark is the perfect location for a trendsetting occasion.
The lovingly restored Belfast Room brings some tradition to an ultramodern venue. Whist the Atrium caters for wedding receptions, the Belfast Room can provide an intimate setting for civil and religious ceremonies.

13. The Lyric Theatre

The Lyric Theatre is located on the banks of the River Lagan in the South of the city, and is within close walking distance of Stranmillis village and Queen’s University.
The stunning new building is the perfect venue for special occasions. Incorporating a 389-seat auditorium, Café Bar and 120-seat studio, we have spaces for 20-200 people and occasionally the whole building is available for hire.

14. Brookhall Weddings & Cottages

Brookhall Self Catering Accommodation offers a memorable and romantic setting for both the wedding ceremony and wedding celebrations. Brookhall can accommodate up to 90 guests.
There is also excellent accommodation in the ‘Barn’ which can accommodate for more than 90 guests at the wedding reception. The barn could provide the opportunity for less formal catering, perhaps in the form of a special wedding barbeque or many, many more ideas.
15. Larchfield Estate

Dating from the 1860’s, Larchfield Barn retains much of its original character – creating a magical setting for your celebrations.
The Barn, which is located just off the picturesque courtyard, was originally built in the 19th century. The stone walls in the main barn are painted – providing a warm and cosy ambiance, and the large wooden beams with wrought iron chandeliers create an impressive and memorable environment for your special occasion.
Fairy lights adorn the branches along the sides of the walls, giving a magical surrounding for you and your guests. The barn can be decorated as you please to suit your individual taste, or you can hold your event without any additional decor – the Barn is stunning just as it is.
