Krispy Kreme mightn’t have landed in Northern Ireland just yet, but they’re getting closer.

Flybe announced this week it is bringing the iconic ‘Original Glazed’ Krispy Kreme® doughnut onboard an airline for the first time anywhere in the world.

Following a successful trial earlier this year, the freshly made doughnuts are now available on Flybe operated flights as part of its recently relaunched onboard menu.

Café Flybe offers more on board food and beverage items than any other European airline, and Krispy Kreme is the latest exclusive addition.

To celebrate the launch, the first 10,000 doughnuts will be sold onboard in limited edition boxes designed exclusively by Krispy Kreme that are sure to become collectors’ items.

Over the last 78 years, Krispy Kreme has brought their much-loved doughnuts to over 1,000 stores across 27 countries, covering all corners of the world from Qatar to Canada, but until partnering with Flybe, never before to the skies.

And more to the point never before to Northern Ireland.

Thanks to Flybe the Original Glazed doughnuts will be winging their way across the many European countries that Flybe’s extensive network serves, flying the much sought after brand into destinations in Spain, France, Italy, the Netherlands and our own shorts that do not currently have Krispy Kreme outlets.

While we wait for the first outlet to pop up we’ll have to get our fix by striking up a relationship with someone who works for Flybe and persuading them to smuggle home doggie bags.
