Ards Shopping Centre is getting a £7m upgrade which will include three new stores.

Belfast Office Properties who own the centre have built a new 45,000 sq ft unit which will house new stores TK Maxx and B&M Bargains. A new restaurant is also planned for the new unit.

Also on its way to Ards Shopping Centre is JD Sports. It’s expected three three big names will open their doors in September.

Paul Devlin, asset manager of Belfast Office Properties, said: “The redevelopment and our significant investment is a direct response to the demand for Ards Shopping Centre from major UK brands.

“Ards continues to position itself as a leading retail destination in Northern Ireland.”

Existing tenants include Argento, Argos, Game, Asda, Poundland and River Island. Movieland Cinemas is also located at the shopping centre.

The centre attracts footfall of around 100,000 people per week.
