Take That’s Gary Barlow has revealed former bandmate Jason Orange will still be coming on tour with the band – but just to watch from the side of the stage.
Jason left a million hearts broken when he announced to fans last September that he was leaving the band. But Gary has told MailOnline his old friend will be there at the live shows cheering him, Mark Owen and Howard Donald on.
Gary said: “He wants to come to the shows, he’ll definitely be there. I don’t think we’ll be able to get him up on stage, but he’ll be there.”
Take That started out as a five-piece boyband in 1990 and became a foursome in 1995 when Robbie Williams left.
They reunited in 2005 and in 2010 were rejoined by Robbie for their Progress album and tour.
But last year Take That became a trio when Robbie confirmed he would not be returning, and Jason decided to quit too.
Gary said: “I think we’ve gotten used to it. It was very strange to start with it, but it’s been over six months.
“We’re just so excited to hit the road. People come to a Take That show expecting an extravaganza and that’s exactly what they’re going to get.”
