It’s been quite a week for The Red Hot Chili Peppers, who are set to play Tennent’s Vital at Boucher Road Playing Fields later this summer.

First they went viral when James Corden invited them to take a seat for his celebrated Carpool Karaoke segment of the ‘Late Late Show’.

Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Chad Smith and Josh Klinghoffer joined James, singing extracts of their hits ‘Give it Away’, ‘Californication’ and ‘Can’t Stop’, as they drove around the LA suburbs. And it was a sight to behold…

Mid-journey, Kiedis and Corden challenged each other to an impromptu wrestling match. The boys spontaneously stopped the car and threw down on a stranger’s lawn!

Back in the car, Corden commented on how odd it was to be hanging with the Chili Peppers while they were fully dressed. Indeed, (amongst other things), most of the band’s members are pretty renowned for performing shirt-less, so when it came to singing “The Zephyr Song,” they lived up to their reputation by stripping down.

Meanwhile, the Grammy Award-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees have just launched their new album, ‘The Getaway’ on Warner Bros Records.

The album was produced by Danger Mouse and mixed by Nigel Godrich. Red Hot Chili Peppers’ previous album, ‘I’m With You’ was released in 2011 and topped the charts in 18 countries.
