Another new hotel complex has been given the green light in Belfast.

The new 58-bedroom Bullitt hotel will be at the old Lagan House office block on the corner of Victoria Street and Ann Street.

The application involves the addition of an extra storey to the building, to provide another 10 bedrooms. The new venture by the Beannchor Group, who also own the Merchant Hotel, will also have an associated bar and restaurant. Best of all 100 new jobs will be created when it opens.

This is the fourth such application to be approved by Belfast City Council in the last four months.

The other hotels to have been granted planning permission in recent months are at the former Harland and Wolff headquarters building in Titanic Quarter, the former Windsor House in Bedford Street and the former Belfast Metropolitan College campus in Brunswick Street.
