Linzi Rooney, founder & CEO of Studio Souk and soon to be mother of two beautiful girls, is launching an exciting new lifestyle blog.
Linzi hopes this blog will be centred around achieving the ‘perfect life balance’ of being a mummy and running a business. Because for her, life without either one would not be the same.
Inspired by the imminent arrival of the newest addition to the family, Linzi has created ‘Macie May and the Curious Cat’, a fun and honest account of the ups and downs of being a working mum and managing a demanding business.
Being the heart and soul of Studio Souk, the CEO never planned to have a long maternity leave, and in her own words she will “be back with baby in sling”, working away as soon as she’s fit and able and hopes “this wee one will be part of the furniture in no time”.
Macie May And the Curious Cat will have two key post categories, ‘My Souk Life’ and ‘Macie’s Adventures’…
My Souk Life
‘My Souk Life’, is a term Linzi uses to describe her lifestyle as it is – motherhood and her career with Studio Souk.
While giving open and honest accounts of the ‘balancing-act’ between the two, she hopes to share her valuable experience and expertise in the world of art and business.
By doing this, Linzi aims to motivate artisans by sharing both informative and inspirational content each week, so that artisans and entrepreneurs alike can learn and take something valuable from following her blog.
You can also expect to see various products from Studio Souk featured on the blog, giving readers a look into what’s available in the retail space as well as providing an insight for makers into what makes a strong product and brand.
Meanwhile ‘Macie’s Adventures’ will follow Linzi’s four year old daughter, Macie May, when she visits her friends, family and get’s up to mischief in the Souk!
Linzi’s vision for Studio Souk, being a mother herself, is to create an environment which is inviting and invigorating to children who come through the door.
Capturing Macie May’s Adventures on the blog, with her much loved ‘Curious Cat’ will no doubt bring some light hearted fun, as she is a huge character for such a tiny person!
Linzi hopes this blog will serve as a space for her open ramblings on her ‘Souk Life’ and to inspire others in the two main demographics that make up her life – motherhood and being a creative in business.
To celebrate Macie May And The Curious Cat, Studio Souk are hosting a workshop with Timmy from Gertrude Anna, where you and your child can come in and join the fun. Providing a great opportunity to get creative with your kid, where they will walk away with their very own Curious Cat, created by them!
So to be in the chance of winning one of the five spaces for you and your child, all you have to do is enter your email address into the subscription box on the homepage by June 30.
