Belfast’s first brewpub has celebrated a year since it officially opened its door to the public.
Defined as a craft beer bar, brewpub and bottle shop – Brewbot is one of the most unique destinations in Belfast for beer enthusiasts.
The Belfast team were behind the revolutionary robot beer brewing system which allowed beer brewers to take a lot of the complexities out of the process – by using a smartphone app.
Following their huge success, Brewbot opened last year with an aim of bringing people together whilst allowing people to test their beer and offer their feedback.
The team at Brewbot marked the occasion with a nostalgic post on Facebook this week.
“This time last year we apprehensively swung the doors open for the very first time, wondering if anyone would come to an all-beer bar.
“We naively had just 4 people behind the bar and then you started showing up, at one point there was 11 of us pulling pints, washing glasses and changing kegs.”
The guys have posted this amazing time lapse video on their site in which they talk about the incredible transformation and how they got started.
The guys will be celebrating their first year anniversary by taking over the draught list with their very own recipes in the first Brewbot Tap Takeover next Saturday, June 25. More info will be available on the official Brewbot Belfast Facebook page in the lead up to the event.
In the meantime, make sure you check out their fascinating blog on the subject, at 365 days of brewbot!
