It’s only 11 weeks until Christmas, so naturally we can’t wait until it’s universally acceptable to watch Elf, drink hot chocolate and live permanently in coats and scarves.
Somebody else already on the Christmas count down is the Belfast Chamber of Trade and Commerce, who have just invested an impressive £100,000 into Visit Belfast’s Christmas marketing campaign.
The incentive will drive increased footfall and spend in the city’s businesses over the crucial trading period.
The all-Ireland campaign will launch in November and aims to promote the city’s exciting festive offering – from Christmas shopping to January sales.

Indeed, last year’s campaign generated 157,000 trips to Belfast from both Northern Ireland and the Republic, as well as 43,000 bed-nights in hotels and £11.6m for the local economy.
