It seems like Belfast certainly has an appetite for Afternoon Tea.

We brought you 7 Places For An Unbeatable Afternoon Tea Experience In Belfast recently, featuring delightful sandwiches, creamy pastries – and that all important glass of champagne (they’re our favourites).

And now some of Belfast’s finest hotels and restaurants have been coming up with innovative new twists on the traditional Afternoon Tea.

1. Game Of Thrones Afternoon Tea

Ballygally Castle Hotel, Coast Road – Website

Ballygally Castle is the perfect place to enjoy a themed Game of Thrones Afternoon Tea – as its stunning surroundings have been pivotal in providing the setting for some of Game of Throne’s most prolific scenes.

According to the Sample Menu, you can enjoy delicious themed delights, ranging from the Little Finger Mini Chicken Caesar Wrap; Dothraki Trifle with Mini Dragon’s Egg; and there’s even Baratheon Bread!

2. Cocktail Afternoon Tea

Malmaison Hotel, 34-38 Victoria Street – Website

The Malmaison is seriously mixing it up with a departure from the standard cucumber finger sandwiches with earl grey tea.

Instead, you can get the full Mal Afternoon Tea experience and add a delicious choice of cocktails including Patron Espresso Martini; Orange Brûlée; Nutty 43; or a Hendrick’s G & Tea.

The Cocktail Afternoon Tea at Malmaison costs £25 – or you can opt for the Champagne option for the same price.

3. Children’s After Tea

La Mon Hotel, 41 Gransha Road Castlereagh – Website

Afternoon Tea at La Mon Hotel is seriously good – and now you can include all of the family with the introduction of the Children’s Afternoon Tea.

It includes the usual selection of freshly made triangle sandwiches but with children in mind, with options including Honey roast ham, strawberry jam, and cheese & tomato. As well as freshly baked plain scones served with butter, jam & cream.

Kids will love choosing four treats from La Mon’s mouth-watering menu, which includes the likes of a Chocolate Brownie; Marshmallows with dipping pot; Homemade cookies;  Fairy cakes; Gingerbread Men; Cupcakes and Chocolate fruit skewers with popping candy – to name a few!

It’s all accompanied by Tea or a Caribbean Mocktail!
