So, how much money do you have lying around in the cupboards?
The answer is more than £560 typically, new research suggests.
The study, for website VoucherCodesPro.co.uk found that we’re hoarding many items in our cupboards that we never use.
According to the results, more than three-quarters (76%) of the people taking part had unused items in their home that they could sell.
CDs and DVDs, furniture, mobile phones, electronics and clothing were revealed as the most common unused items.
When asked to estimate the average value of the items in their home that were unused and that they knew they could sell on, the average answer given was £562.
Nearly 1,500 people took part in the research.
