A new hotel is on its way to the city centre which will provide a host of new vacancies for visitors as well as 150 new vacancies in the hospitality industry.
Windsor House, Ireland’s tallest office building, was bought by the Hastings Group who own the Europa Hotel, the Culloden and the Slieve Donard. It was sold to Hastings for a reported price of £6.5m.
It’s more good news for for the city and potential visitors after December’s announcement of an 84-bedroom four-star boutique development at the old Harland & Wolff headquarters.
It’s hoped 250 jobs could also be created through the hotel’s construction with 75 more jobs to come once it’s finished.
