Just when you thought it was safe to watch TV on an empty stomach, we’re hit with another raft of cookery programmes.
Masterchef Ireland kicks off series three on Watch on Monday (March 9) at 7pm while the original Masterchef is back for the umpteenth season fronted by Jonty Rode and his bald henchman on Tuesday on BBC1 at 9pm on Tuesday.
Bluestone 42, the comedy drama about a bomb squad in Afghanistan returns to BBC3 this Monday at 10pm. Expect explosions of laughter and shrapnel in equal measure.
Weird Or What is on Sunday at 10pm on Quest. It’s a new series in which scientists explain bizarre events, including why only one brother of two survived when both fell 50 storeys, and why human feet keep washing up on Vancouver beaches.
Given that last week on TV we watched Bear Grylls drink his own wee and John Snow get off his head on cannabis, this week’s programmes have a lot to live up to.
