Without leaving Belfast it’s possible to get a taste of life around the globe. Here’s the Belfast Vibe’s pick of some of the best restaurants specialising in world cuisine.
1. La Bastille
Ooh la la! Expect classic Gallic dishes with a modern twist in this quaint French bistro.
Take a trip to Mexico way in this popular bargain eaterie located in both the city centre and Botanic Avenue.
Belfast’s newest Italian has opened up on Great Victoria Street. Expect all the Italian classics and if you’re really lucky you might bump into Chunk, Sloth and Ma Fratelli.
4. Lee Garden
Okay, so the view of the bus stop out the front mightn’t be the greatest, but this is one of the best restaurants for a slap up Chinese.
A contemporary Indian restaurant where they use authentic Indian recipes and traditional cooking methods to deliver a unique taste experience. But don’t worry, they’ll still burn the bum off you if that’s your thing!
6. YO Sushi!
This chain specialising in bitesize Japanese cuisine is a very welcome addition to Victoria Square. YO indeed!
7. Ben Brazil
Belfast first restaurant specialising in Brazilian food. As to what Brazilian food actually constitutes you’d need to go there to find out.
8. Alley Cat
The association between cats and burgers escapes us, but this is one of the finest American-style diners Belfast has to offer. The Philly Steak Monster is totes amazeballs. Miaowwwww!
9. Mourne Seafood
Ahhh, the taste of home. Some ocean inhabitants mightn’t look that nice in their natural environment, but they look and taste pretty amazing when plated up by this lot!
