Alive is the superb debut album from unsigned Belfast duo RUNAWAY [GO].
They’ve supported Editors and Bastille on sold-out UK tours and similarities to the latter bode well for success. You’ll also catch traces of Florence + The Machine in their music as well as the more homegrown influence of Snow Patrol and Wondervillains.
The albums featuring nine cleverly crafted tracks and melodic pop anthems, the latest of which is their new single which bears the same name as the album.
The dual vocal talents of Dave Jackson and Fiona O’Kane bridge the gap between indie and pop with their anthemic pop melodies, vocal range and harmonies.
Fiona is the songwriter for the as yet unsigned duo from Belfast, who has been writing and recording her own music since she was 14.
Her partner in music, Dave said: “All our ambitions with this band, of wanting to play all around the World, it all started with ‘Alligator’ but our sound has developed. If I now listen to what we’ve just done, it sounds more like I imagined it would. We’re the band we wanted to be.”
The album will get its official launch in Belfast at Redeemer Central on February 12 next year.
