The Belfast Barge will be rocking to the sound of HOW when the band launch their debut album This Is A Raid this Saturday night.

The Indie music-makers who somehow manage to fuse together the sound of The National, Bruce Springsteen and AC/DC have been making waves with headline gigs in the Empire Music Hall and exclusive London shows in Kensington, playing to record industry personnel.

The energy and enthusiasm of HOW is abundant on their debut disc which was recorded and mixed by Declan Legge in Big Space Studios and mastered by Pete Maher in London.

HOW are Ben Whittington (guitar/vocals), Pete Kerr (vocals), Maxl Walmsley Pledl (bass) and Johno Whittington (drums/vocals).

Brothers Ben and Johno started the band and were joined by Pete and Maxl just eight months ago. For a band who have been playing together for less than a year they are an incredibly tight unit with a repertoire of big-hitting songs in their arsenal that most artists would take a decade to accumulate.

How albumHard copies of their album will be available at their upcoming gigs, including a spot on the bill at Sunflowerfest which takes place from July 31 to August 2 at Tubby’s Farm in Hillsborough.

You can also get a digital copy via the usual platforms including iTunes and Googleplay.

In addition, the album is available to listen to via Soundcloud.
