We’re told the X Factor isn’t doing that well this year and is being trounced on a regular basis by Strictly Come Dancing.

It’s a bit like the halcyon days of the 1960s when you weren’t allowed to like both The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

These days you’re either a Strictly or an X-Factor fan and Cheryl is most definitely the modern day Yoko Ono.

But judging by the announcement that more dates have been added to the X Factor Live Tour there must still be a smattering of people following the fortunes of these contemporary purveyors of karaoke.

Those extra dates include a night in the SSE Arena on Thursday February 18 and a gig in the 3Arena in Dublin on Saturday February 20.

Tickets go on sale on Thursday December 10 at 9am. Book online at ticketmaster.ie

At the weekend the three finalists for this year’s X Factor were revealed as Reggie ‘N’ Bollie, Louisa Johnson and Che Chesterman.

The confirmed line up for The X Factor 2016 Live Tour includes Reggie ‘N’ Bollie, Louisa Johnson, Lauren Murray, Che Chesterman, Anton Stephans, 4th Impact, Mason Noise and Seann Miley Moore.

Attended by over three million people, The X Factor Live Tour has been one of the most successful annual arena tours in the UK & Ireland for the past 11 years.

We know, 11 years… it’s hard to believe. It must seems like a lifetime for Steve Brookstein, Ben Haenow, Leon Jackson.

For a little trip down memory lane here a YouTube vid featuring all of the winners doing their first auditions…
