Belfast-based singer Amanda St John releases her brand new single ‘You Blew It’ on December 4, a hook-laden, brass-fuelled track is destined to help the party season begin with a bang.

Co-written in Nashville with world renowned producer and tunesmith Jon Tiven (who has worked with the likes of the Rolling Stones, BB King and Wilson Pickett), the song is a fun and unforgettable fusion of old school soul and new school sensibilities and is hugely infectious from start to finish.

Amanda said: “You Blew It is a big band soul song. It’s about being in a relationship and reaching that breaking point where you’ve finally had enough of someone’s excuses. I’m basically saying that I can see through them now, they’re not a very nice person, don’t deserve any more of my time and they ‘Blew It’. It’s got a fun, feisty element to it too and it’s not be taken too seriously. It’s kinda like the internal conversations we have with ourselves but don’t communicate out loud.”

A mainstay on the NI festival circuit and gig scene, her latest offering will appeal to fans of Dusty Springfield, Bill Withers, Duffy and Paloma Faith and in addition to buying ‘You Blew It’ on December 4, you can pre-order her debut album ‘Grow’ at

Amanda will be donating 10% of everything raised above her Pledge target to Macmillan Cancer Support.

She said: “They do incredible work advising and supporting people affected by cancer and my own family have experienced this first hand.”
