It’s the biggest event in Star Wars history since the last big event in Star Wars history, and fans of the sci-fi epic are willing to foresake a good night’s sleep to prove the Force is strong with them.

Fans have snapped up tickets for the midnight shows at cinemas across Northern Ireland, those same fans will be crawling into their beds around 3am on Thursday morning.

It might be the norm for millennial party animals, but for middle-aged Jedi fanatics, Thursday could prove to be a tricky day at work.

Movie House Cinemas have well and truly embraced The Force and at their Dublin Road premises they’ll be showing Star Wars: The Force Awakens on at least six screens. Movie House Cityside has opened a third screen to cope with demand for the midnight movie.
