One of the biggest names in world rugby will be in Northern Ireland later this month.
Welsh referee Nigel Owens, who has refereed at two consecutive World Cups and presided over three Heineken Cup finals, will be appearing at The Hub in Craigavon on June 27 at 7.30pm.
The world famous referee, who presents his own TV show in Wales, will give insight into the world of rugby union as only he can.
Known for his quick wit on and off the pitch, he commands the respect of players and supporters alike.
As an openly gay referee Owens has taken more flak than most, but the way in which he tackles the bully boys, both on and off the pitch, has proved an inspiration to many.
Earlier this year Owens was the victim of a homophobic tweet after the Six Nations game between England and France. Owens agreed to meet the 18-year-old who had abused him. Owens accepted what he described as “a profound apology” and let the matter rest.
Owens, who is a part time stand-up comedian as well as an after dinner speaker, has amassed 129,000 followers on Twitter.
