Are you looking for an adrenaline rush this weekend?
The fifth Northern Ireland Adventureland Weekend happens this week.
On Saturday March 28 and Sunday March 29 over 50 outdoor activity events will take place across the country for as little as £10 per person or 50% off.
From canoeing, wakeboarding and surfing to mountain biking and zorbing you can book online at www.discovernorthernireland.com/adventureland.
To get you started we have picked our 7 favourite ones:
1. Wakeboarding at Titanic Quarter
Cable Wake Boarding is the newest and one of the fastest growing and most exciting watersports in which the wake boarder’s rope and handle are pulled by an electrically-driven cable, as opposed to a motorboat.
It has grown massively in popularity in the UK over the last 5 years with a cable park in most major cities in the UK and now you can try cable wakeboarding at Titanic Belfast with Cable & Wake.
2. Rathlin Island Boat Trip
A fantastic and thrilling boat trip to Rathlin Island.
Your skipper and guide Alan Wilson will bring the Causeway Coast to life with fascinating descriptions of local landmarks & rare wildlife as you make your way on a high speed rigid inflatable boat (RIB) to the most northerly inhabited island off the coast of Ireland.
3. Go Wild Forest School
Far and Wild brings its popular forest school to Drum Manor Forest, Cookstown for Northern Ireland Adventureland Weekend 2015.
A blend of exploration, adventure, myth and ecology for parents and kids alike, it provides a treasure trove of hints and activities for the kids to have fun and the parents to learn lots for that next family day out or camping trip.
4. Game of Thrones Film Set Archery Experience, Castle Ward
Step into Winterfell, our newly built archery range film set and take aim where young Bran was taught archery by Jon Snow.
Have a go at archery in the very place where the BAFTA award winning TV show was filmed.
5. Extreme Zorbing
Experience the exhilarating highs and lows of Zorbing at The Jungle NI, just outside Magherafelt.
You’ll be safely harnessed by fully-qualified staff into the huge inflatable balls before being pushed off the platform to take the ultimate form of downhill travel.
Zorbing is a high-speed, adrenaline-packed adventure activity, not for the faint-hearted.
6. Family Activity Fun Day
Breckenhill in Ballyclare are bringing all the fun of the fair into the 21st century with their Family Activity Fun Day.
Activities include testing your balance and co-ordination on the low ropes course, race against each other on the orienteering course, tackle the traversing wall, find your way in the “dark” on the night line, launch the giant catapults at targets or bend it like Beckham with some soccer target practice.
7. Wet Bouldering, Bloody Bridge
Wet bouldering is all about the water – make your way up a river, jumping into pools and climbing up waterfalls, this is sure to be a great two hours of water action.
