It doesn’t make for easy viewing, but The Pillowman in the Lyric Theatre has got Belfast theatre goers talking.

The story, penned by Martin McDonagh, the man behind the movies In Bruges and Seven Psychopaths, is on its first ever Irish tour.

The action centres on an interrogation room where 2 police officers are determined to make a young author pay the ultimate price for telling tales, when it transpires that the content of some of his short stories bear an uncanny similarity to horrific real-life crimes.
