The Vauxhall International North West 200 kicked off in style this week as the riders took to the roads for the country’s biggest motorsport event.

Thousands are expected to flock to what has become the largest outdoor sporting event in Ireland.

Taking place throughout Portrush, Coleraine and Portstewart now in its 86th year the event will run until Saturday May 16 and welcome top sports stars including brothers William and Michael Dunlop as well as John McGuinness and Michael Rutter.

The prize fund this year sits at £70,000 up for grabs overs eight events with the first three races EventServ Supersport Race, the Vauxhall Supertwin Race and the Spidi Superstock Race being held on Thursday, May 14 on the circuit just shy of nine miles.
