After taking a break last year Northern Ireland band Trucker Diablo are back with their latest album Rise Above The Noise.
belfastvibe reviewer Bridgene Nolan says she’s had it on repeat ever since its release.
Here’s what she had to say:
Like many people I was sad when I heard that Trucker Diablo would be going on hiatus, they’re a great band, lovely guys and always put on a good show.
When they announced their return with a new album I was excited to hear what they had come up with in their time away; and I don’t think I’m alone in saying this could be their best yet.
With big anthem songs such as Party Like They Started the End of the World and We Stand Strong mixed with beautiful and sad songs like Where Angels Fly (which is my personal favourite) and Murder Ballad, which is both powerful and sad – none of the songs disappointed.
Two of my other favourites are Girl in a Photograph which I find reminiscent of Thin Lizzy with a great catchy chorus and Take me to the River which in contrast has a darker and moodier feel to it.
The album ends with Don’t Cry which is so sweet you just want to give them a hug.
All the songs are underlined with perfect harmonies and brilliantly put together music and the whole album gets a rockin’ 10/10 from me, I’d definitely recommend giving it a listen if you like your classic rock.
