There are only 2 ID Artists in Northern Ireland… and Belfast’s Rogue Hair has both of them.

We chat to Rogue Hair’s Karen Devlin who recently took part in an ID Live event in Dublin and find out what amazing discovery she made outside Lavery’s bar.

Home is…

Family, friends, security and comforts – I can be happy anywhere as long as I have all this!

Tell us something your Mum doesn’t know about you?

I tell my mum most things, however I do have the odd sneaky menthol cig behind her back!

What would you do if you had the keys to the city for the day?

I would go to Stormont and rewrite some laws on how to help small businesses… lower rates and VAT! I would also lock a few people out of the city.

What’s the most interesting discovery you have made in Belfast?

My model Hanna who I discovered standing outside Lavery’s bar. We went on to win the UK L’Oréal colour trophy award with her.

Which building would you like to be locked in overnight?

I would find it hilariously funny to be locked in the Crumlin Road Gaol with all of my friends and for us all to scare the bejesus out of each other. I have a bit of a sick sense of humour because I find it so amusing seeing people get freaked out!

Celebrity crush?

I’ve always loved Brad Pitt. I also have a bit of a crush on Robert Pattinson from Twilight, he could bite my neck anyday!

Describe your perfect day in the city?

If I stayed in the city my perfect day would be to have lunch, anywhere tasty, and catch up with friends. It’s the simple things!

Earliest Belfast memory….

I remember the day Princess Diana and Charles got married. We had a street party with table lined down the road, I remember feeling very emotional and overwhelmed by the whole thing! That never happens anymore, we should bring back the street party!

What movie closely resembles your life story and why?

Parenthood. I watched it again recently and although it is hilarious there are parts that most parents I’m sure can relate to. Everyday is a learning day in the Devlin house, for both child and parent!

Sum up Belfast in three words…

Let’s keep this light hearted… cultured, friendly, egits!!
