James Huish is currently directing a spectacular production of West Side Story due to showcase at The Mac from August 19-22.
The show, which is the Belfast School of Performing Arts annual summer youth project, features over 60 exceptionally talented young people from across Northern Ireland.
James is also a talented theatre performer in his own right and regularly performs concerts and shows across NI with his Big Band where they entertain guests with fabulous renditions of swing classics from stars such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and his personal favourite Michael Buble.

I love vegetables! When I was young I wouldn’t touch them, at all, ever! My poor Mum!
What would you do if you had the keys to the city for the day?
Lock all the politicians out of their offices!
What is the most interesting discovery you’ve made in Belfast?
Meat in a bap – I love that place!
Which building would you most like to be locked in overnight?
The Titanic Building, I want to see if there are any ghosts! Or the Ice bowl – I’d skate all night long!
Tea Leoni – she is amazing, a living Madam Secretary, she’s brilliant in it, and of course Anna Kendrick.
Describe your perfect day in the city…
Just sitting drinking coffee and watching the people go by knowing that I had nothing to do that day would be amazing!
