Given that it’s Freshers Week, we caught up with Elliot Lyness, VP Campaigns at Ulster University Students’ Union.
Here’s what Belfast means to him…
Where Sunday Lunch is!
Tell us something your mum doesn’t know about you?
I honestly couldn’t, you couldn’t keep a secret from that woman if you tried!
What would you do if you had the keys to the city for the day?
Throw a massive fundraiser for a worthy local cause.
What’s the most interesting discovery you’ve made in Belfast?
Kurrito on Botanic Avenue, could never get sick of Curry Burritos!
Which building would you most like to be locked in overnight?
Probably the Ulster University, Belfast Campus.. I’ve done enough all-nighters and events there to know the best places to get some sleep!
Describe your perfect day in the city?
Pancakes at French Village followed by a good gander around Cotswold and Forbidden Planet. Nice wee swim and a steam in the afternoon followed by Dinner and cocktails at Ryans!
Earliest Belfast memory?
Buying a hockey stick in Belfast City Centre.
What movie most closely resembles your life story and why?
Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, because I never have any idea what I’m doing and I always leave my reports till the last minute!
Sum up Belfast in three words?
Food, Drink, Craic!
