The Cavehill area has been included in a list of the most desirable spots to live in the UK.
According to the Sunday Times Best Places to Live guide, Cavehill is among the top 50 urban locations in the UK to set up home.
The guide states that living in this part of the city was once feared, but is now aspired to. The review says that “few city addresses can boast a mountain at the end of the street”.
The mountain in question boasts a rocky outcrop, known as Napoleon’s Nose, which provided the inspiration for Gulliver’s Travels.
It’s hard to live in Cavehill without getting up someone nose, but following the Sunday Times report it’s a location where people are now justified in looking down their noses at the rest of us mere slum dwellers.
