A Holywood woman is making a splash in the world of exclusive matchmaking.

Rachel MacLynn, a chartered psychologist turned professional matchmaker, founded the Vida Consultancy just four years ago.

Today, she and her all-female management team, welcome clients from all over the world and boast a network of over 5000 of the world’s most exceptional singles, the majority of whom are HNWIs.

Rachel’s company, which is headquartered in London’s prestigious Mayfair, with consultants worldwide, has recently garnered nominations for the most coveted industry awards including three nominations in the recent UK Dating Awards and a further nomination in the iDate Awards which take place in Miami in January.

Educated at Sullivan Upper School, in Holywood before undertaking years of studying and training to become a Chartered Psychologist, the intrepid Rachel has travelled the world growing her business, climbed to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro and run the New York Marathon.

A regular industry speaker, she was also appointed to the Board of Advisors for the Matchmaking Institute in New York last year and is now providing training and mentoring for professional matchmakers around the world.

Rachel said: “I believe that professional matchmakers are increasingly relevant in modern society while the industry itself is expanding rapidly.  In contrast to dating sites and apps which can be risky, professional matchmakers provide a safer and more successful service by searching, vetting and screening clients before setting up introductions.”

The company offers a high end personalised services to successful men and women aged between 30 and 65. Vida helps its clients build their social and love life through personal introductions and a full calendar of events organised by its sister company, Vida8.

In 2014, Rachel MacLynn was shortlisted for ‘Best Matchmaker’ in the UK Dating Awards. This year she was a finalist in the UK Dating Awards ‘Dating Entrepreneur of the Year’ category. She came third in the international iDate Awards, also for ‘Best Matchmaker’ earlier this year, and is hoping to achieve further accolades in January 2016 at the iDate Awards.
