We announced late last year that Italian restaurant chain Zizzi was set to open in Belfast.
Now it has been revealed that the popular chain will open in Victoria Square in the city centre in mid October.
The new restaurant is set to create 35 new jobs for the city.
The chain currently does not have any restaurants in Northern Ireland, but is hugely popular across the UK Ireland with 140 restaurants in total.
Lovers of authentic Italian food will be delighted with the extensive Italian menu, which ranges from Sharing Starters such as Arancini – hand rolled risotto balls with mozzarella, peas & a breadcrumb coating. Served with a chunky tomato pepperonata dip.
Fellow favourites include the’Little Soul’ Bread – or ‘Anima Piccola’ in Italian, these doughy puffs are freshly baked with garlic & smoked sea salt.
You must also try the new, mouth-watering addition to the menu, the Fritto Misto.
This sharing dish boasts king prawns, calamari, mussel ‘popcorn’, peppers, artichoke & courgette, all lightly battered and served with chilli, lemon, parsley & an aioli dip.
Meanwhile, pizza fans will certainly not be left disappointed – as Zizzi offers a range of different menu options – from the Skinny Pizza, to the Classic, Rustica – and popular Calzones.
Zizzi will also be able to offer Gluten Free and Dairy free alternatives.
More dishes can be found on the extensive Pasta, Risotto and delicious Meat & Fish lists., whilst there is a very generous dessert section.
According to the Victoria Square website, there will now be something of an ‘Italian Quarter’ in the shopping area – as it’s set to open beside Pizza Express and Prezzo.
The website also revealed the restaurant will be open from noon to 11pm every day apart from Sunday when it will close at 10.30pm.
