After revolutionising the food scene here in Belfast by bringing a healthy option to the table, Slim’s Healthy Kitchen is expanding once again.
In just two short years the company have made a big impact on both the Lisburn Road and City Centre they are now headed out to East Belfast.
The company have started work on their third outlet on the Belmont Road.
Set to open it’s doors in August following an investment of £200k at the 1800 sq. ft. unit – Slim’s in East Belfast will create 35 new jobs.
Established in June 2013 by 31 year-old Gary McIldowney, Slim’s Healthy Kitchen say they aim to “offer feel-good convenience food without the guilt”.
They now have a loyal following of fans of their juices, super foods and salads alongside homemade burgers, roast chicken and Thai curry signature dishes with a tasty healthy twist.
Gary said: “I have been looking a suitable locations in east Belfast for a while as it’s a thriving part of the city with a varied and dynamic food offering.
“I believe Slim’s will compliment the existing cafes and restaurants offering providing a healthier option to dining out.”
Gary lost almost half his body weight through healthy eating and regular exercise.
Once weighing in at 24 stone he changed his eating habits understanding the dynamics of proteins, vitamins and good fats and that’s how the Slim’s concept was formed.
