Belfast’s leading fashionistas Cathy Martin and Alyson McElroy have teamed up to resurrect the popular Fashion Souk events.

Cathy, who founded Belfast Fashion Week and Alyson, who created the Fashion Souk brand in the city are hoping their new collaboration will show people the benefits and excitement of buying pre-loved and vintage clothing.

Their new event Summer Souk, on Saturday June 27, will see a whole host of sellers offer up some fantastic pre-loved fashion and accessory bargains.

Cathy said: “For me personally, I’m selling up lots of clothes after clearing out. I have got Mulberry, Dior and YSL but I’ve also got Zara, Mango, Topshop etc – most of the items have labels still on.

“There are a number of sellers coming to the event and everyone has a mix of designer and high street.”

And to top that off they’re taking the event down to Holywood to the Belfast Fashion Week offices, so it’s a great excuse for a day out.

Alyson added: “The Original Fashion Souk was founded in 2009 and is very much alive and kicking and moving forward we are teaming up with BFW to reach an even wider audience and de-stigmatise pre-loved shopping once and for all.

“As for me my wardrobe if a mix of charity shop treasures, highstreet, independent labels and locally made accessories.”

The first Summer Souk event will take place on Saturday June 27 at the BFW offices in Holywood (96 High Street). For more information click HERE.
