1. The Windmill
Church Lane, Belfast city centre
There aren’t many places in the city centre where you can get a good old fashioned fish ‘n’ chip but The Windmill rocks. Not only are the staff the loveliest people ever but the chips are real chips.

2. The Chippie
North Street, Belfast city centre
A proper chippie with giant plates, giant portions, awesome prices and…it’s the same place superstar Rihanna shot part of her We Found Love video. Check it out before the hipsters find it and they start serving chips in a stupid tin bucket.

3. Manny’s
Antrim Road, North Belfast
For those who live in the North of the city Manny’s is famous. And I don’t mean corner shop famous…I mean there isn’t a household in the district who weren’t overjoyed when this amazing chip shop joined JustEat. Famous for their massive portions and super awesome “real” chips you will be hard pushed to find a place to beat it.

4. Brights
High Street, Belfast city centre
If you’re looking for a good home-cooked meal or a super takeout while hanging around the city centre, Brights has it all. Big portions and a big menu, you won’t be disappointed if you check them out.

5. The Chip Co
Botanic Avenue, South Belfast
This area of South Belfast is awash with takeaways but with fresh chips peeled and cut every single morning it’s hard not to love the yummy’ness of The Chip Co. All their food is locally sourced where possible.

6. Cafe Fish
Lisburn Road, South Belfast
It’s been a wee while since I’ve been in Cafe Fish but I think it’s still worth a mention. If they are still producing mouth watering fish like they were last time I was in, they will be hard to beat in the fish category.
