Whether you’re a snacker, a meal person (or both), or like to follow some of the wacky diets people swear by, or if you’re the poor person catering for a group who all prefer to eat differently, IKEA is offering a solution.
On August 1 and 2 the Holywood Exchange Ikea store is hosting an IDEAS Festival centred on food and drink.
Here’s a heads up on five things you’ll learn if you pop along to the festival…
1. From Cocktail To Mocktail
A summertime pop up bar will show you how to create summer spritzers with 0% alcohol. Not only is this easier on your wallet but also your waistline.
2. Grow Your Own (Yes – You!)
Become more economical with your food by growing your own leaves and herbs. Not only can you do this from the comfort of your home but you can learn all about it through demonstrations and workshops at the festival.
3. Embrace The Veggie Ball
Iconic Swedish meatballs have a healthy little sister called the veggie ball, a tasty alternative that you can add to so many different meals.
4. The Science Lesson
Learn all about flavours and what complements what. Your cooking mind will open to plenty of new possibilities.
5. Ain’t No Party Like A Pickling Party
Discover the art of fermentation and pickling then reap in the health benefits. You can start lining your shelves with colourful creations pronto!
