He didn’t have Kate Capshaw at his side, but Harrison Ford reprised his role from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom by crash landing a plane and escaping major injury.
This time the location was Venice, not a desolate village in India, as Ford guided his airplane into a crash landing on Thursday afternoon.
Moments before the crash, in audio of his conversation with air traffic control, a calm and collected Ford can be heard asking for an emergency landing because his engine had failed.

The 72-year-old actor who has been a licensed pilot for nearly two decades, was not going to be able to make the runaway at Santa Monica Airport so he picked a long green at the nearby Penmar golf course to land out of the way of the congested neighbourhood.
Ford was rushed from the scene bleeding heavily from a head wound.
His condition was initially described as serious though his injuries were downgraded to moderate and he is expected to make a full recovery.
