It stands to reason that not everyone from the island of Ireland is going to be able to make it to France this summer. Just as well otherwise those snakes that St Patrick drove out could sniff another opportunity.

For those fans of Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland staying at home for Euro 2016 the good news is an Official Euros Fanzone will be set up at Titanic Belfast.

Using the infrastructure already in place for Belsonic festival they’ll be able to cater for 10,000 fans at a time at the open air arena, which boasts the biggest screen in the country.

Entry is free and there will full bar facilities, food vans and a funfair as well as family friendly activities and entertainment before and after games.

Northern Ireland manager Michael O’Neill said: “The idea of thousands of Northern Ireland fans gathering at the Euros Fanzone at Titanic back in Belfast will be another huge motivation for the players.

“Having visited the Fanzone site and spoken to the guys running it, I’m certain it’ll be the next best thing to actually being out there with us.”
