It’s already set to open one of its Italian Zizzi restaurants – the first of its kind in Northern Ireland – at Belfast’s very own Victoria Square.

Now Italian chain Azzurri is hungry to expand across Northern Ireland.

It could now be adding its Ask Italian brand to the region.

The Belfast Telegraph reports they could now have between ten and 20 restaurants in NI and the Republic within the next five years.

It’s believed the firm’s first Zizzi restaurant is set to open at Victoria Square early next year.

Azzuri’s owner is aiming to grow the number of Ask restaurants to 112, with Zizzi growing to 136.

A range of restaurant chains have been spreading their wings into Northern Ireland in recent times.

Including hotly anticipated new Hawaiian joint Kua ‘Aina – which will be specialising in burgers.
