Christmas displays – they make having to elbow your way through the jam packed city centre that little bit less miserable.
(Actually they generally cause us to wander inside and spend a small fortune. But we guess that’s the point…)
With bars also getting into the Christmas spirit (making our mulled wine even more enjoyable – and who knew that was possible?) we’ve snapped some of our favourite Chistmas displays so far this year.
We haven’t quite got the travelling powers of the man in the big red suit quite yet – so if you see any more fantastic Christmas displays make sure to send them to us at belfastvibe!
Our Pick Of The City’s Greatest Displays This Christmas…
1. Miel et Moi and The Albany
703 Lisburn Rd
Dazzling fairy lights wrapped around approximately one million Christmas trees, this hotspot on the Lisburn Road has never looked so inviting.
The Christmas trees go on for so long that we couldn’t even fit them in our shot – so you’ll just have to go down there and see for yourself.
2. Ian Thompson Interior Design
665 Lisburn Rd
Traditional vintage Christmas decorations at its best.
3. Jack Wills
22 Arthur St
We love the elegance, twinkling lights, Christmas trees – and stacks of presents.
4. Cafe Fish
539 Lisburn Rd
Call us childish all you like, but there’s just something special about cartoons featuring Santa Claus and polar bears. They scream Christmas and remind us of getting far too excited when we kids.

8. Debenhams
Unit 34 Castle Court, Royal Avenue
Red, bright and shiny – featuring jammies we just want to curl up into.

Victoria Square Shopping Centre
Similarly, making us nostalgic for our childhood, this cutesy window is making us even more impatient for December 25.
10. New Look
Fountain House Donegall Pl
We loved New Look’s take on the monochrome trend this season. Now it is extending to their Winter shop displays. And we thoroughly approve.

Victoria Sq
Now these are what we call fairy lights.
12. Murphys
400 Lisburn Rd
Another (amazing) cartoon painted shop window. Remind you of anyone you know?

The decadent array of lights and glitter looks even more amazing at night.
