A Belfast father and son are putting on a large scale supercar event to raise money for a 12 year old with cancer who they met through social media.
It’s the third annual Renegade Run organised by five-year-old supercars fan Jacob Craig with the help of his dad Iain. Set to benefit from the event is Jack Milton, who is one of Jacob’s 19.6K followers on Instagram. Both boys a huge fans of supercars.
Iain said: “We found out a few months ago Jack had been diagnosed with bowel cancer. His father has it too. It’s a genetically inherited condition called Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP). He is the only one out of his siblings who has it.
“We are hoping to bring him and his dad Dave over for the run and we are going to get a supercar organised to take them out and around. We are also collecting donations and we want to give something to the family. Something similar was organised in Birmingham for them and they raised £10,000.”
The third Renegade Run is taking place on Sunday, June 5, starting off at Sprucefield, with at least 500 people are expected to take part. It will include outstanding cars such as Ferraris, Audi R8s and Bentleys.
