Ruairi McSorley – aka ‘Frostbit Boy’ – is to release a charity single.

The date marks a year since he was interviewed on UTV News about the snow in his home area in the Sperrins, famously remarking “Oh God you wouldn’t be long getting frostbit.”

Excitedly sharing the news on his “official” Facebook page, Ruairi said: “The music video and pre sale are coming next week!

“All proceeds go to Brainwaves NI as part of NiStars Songs For Anna Charity Album.”

He then shared the video of local girl Anna Guest, who was diagnosed with a brain tumour just days after her 14th birthday.
