One of Belfast’s most famous bars is about to re-launch with three-floors, a nightclub and a rooftop bar!
In happy news for the many students about to land upon Belfast, work on the famous bar on the Ormeau Road is set to be completed next week.
Yep, we can definitely picture ourselves enjoying a few drinks with this view…
The Hatfield House has undergone a multi-million revamp and is just one week away from completion after working tirelessly throughout the summer.
In even further good news for sports fans – just in time for the Rugby World Cup kicking off and the already-underway football season – there will be 30 screens with the capability of showing up to six different live sports at once… Mind. Blown.
In a further innovative move, the bar is also keen to promote live music from local bands and musicians.
Preparatory work has been ongoing at the bar since last year, but over the summer months workmen have moved in to transform what was essentially a one-floor bar and accompanying restaurant, into a three floor complex.
In a move that could test our devotion to Queen’s Student Union and Laverys, just above The Hatfield, there will be pool tables during the day! Above The Graduate there’s also going to be a function space.
With capacity to rise from 150 to up to a staggering 700, there will be a rise of staff numbers – set to increase from around 15 to up to 50, whilst it is hoped that as well as the devoted students who flock up from the Holylands, there will also be an increase in the number of young professionals to the enhanced venue.
The nightclub element of the complex could be open up to five times a week.
