Fresh from working on the new Batman vs Superman movie, Don Lanning is coming to Belfast to tutor the make up and special effects artists of the future.
He’ll be the guest of Titanic Creative Management, a not for profit training organisation committed to changing and developing the creative industries in NI.
Titanic Creative Management teaches the skills needed by creatives in the areas of prosthetic, SFX, makeup and more to a professional level.
Tutor Don Lanning and his team have just finished working on Batman vs Superman, which he can add to a CV which boasts more than 60 motion pictures.
His other credits include Star Trek, The Avengers, Team America, Alien vs Predator, Hellboy, Vanilla Sky, Pirates Of The Caribbean 4, Blade 3, Fantastic Four and Planet Of The Apes. He’s also worked on television shows including Nip Tuck, Grey’s Anatomy and House.
Nuala Campbell, Managing Director of Titanic Creative Management said: “We are so glad to be bringing Don Lanning over to Belfast. There are so many talented local people who have already really benefited from his teaching.
“He has just finished his work on Batman vs Superman with his team, where he was on set creating Superman’s body.”
Nuala added: “We have so much talent here in NI that needs to be nurtured and developed; with the NI film scene blooming and growing in the way it has done in the past 10 years, we feel we need to build a network of artists BASED in Northern Ireland.”
