A TV Licensing officer in Northern Ireland was punched in the face and chased for five miles by an angry householder.
He was one of 89 officers in the UK who were assaulted by members of the public while doing their job over the past year.
Attacks have more than doubled in the last 12 months. Most incidents happen when officers challenge householders about not paying for a licence.
When verbal assaults are factored in, including death threats, 360 inquiry officers were targeted.
It costs £145.50 for a colour TV Licence and £49.00 for a black and white TV Licence.
Considerably cheaper than a court appearance for GBH and a non-molestation order.
