Revamped and with a new focus on music, Buskers was reborn from well-known restaurant Beatrice Kennedy’s in mid-November of last year.
With its dynamic ever-changing menu bursting with mouth-watering food and drinks, it’s no surprise that Buskers has proven a tremendous hit.
We went along to check out their new cocktail menu. And it was seriously amazing.
A Bit About Buskers
Set in the popular university area of South Belfast, Buskers is beating off stiff competition from nearby restaurants, winning over a tremendously eclectic crowd who no-doubt come for the award-worthy menu, friendly staff – and of course, the buskers themselves.
Buskers is always bringing new ideas and fun menu additions to the table – including a new, musically themed cocktail menu…
We went down to sample the new £6 cocktail menu – and were seriously impressed.
Our top tip to try would definitely have to be the Bob Marley – aptly named thanks to its summery fresh ingredients!
It features fresh pineapple, sugar syrup, coconut cream, Bacardi Blanco, pineapple juice and ice – and was perfect for a warm summer’s day.
Meanwhile, sure to draw equal attention was the seriously enticing Jimmy ‘Hendricks’ experience. Naturally, it featured Hendricks, tonic, fresh lime and ice infused with cucumber and lime – and was truly delicious.
For those in love with a good pun, go for the Sex on the beach boys – it contains Peach schnapps, Smirnoff vodka, oranges, cranberries – and is seriously amazing.
For those who appreciate a good ‘slushy’ cocktail (think alcoholic strawberry slush puppy) you certainly need to opt for the ‘Strawberry Fields Forever.’ A Strawberry Daquiri that is plentiful in its fresh strawberries, fresh lime juice, sugar syrup, Bacardi and blended ice.
Meanwhile those in love with the famous Mojito need look no further than the ‘She’s Mint’ with Bacardi, fresh lime, mint leaves, brown sugar, crushed ice, dash of soda.
Coffee lovers can also rejoice with the delicious option of espresso meets cocktail.
We had the divine ‘Coffee and TV’ – which was a nicely strong shot of espresso, vanilla galliano, hint of baileys, vodka and Tia Maria.
For anyone wishing to enjoy that gorgeously European style of sitting outside with a few drinks and a light nibble – Buskers has you sorted.
Buskers have also just introduced a new Tapas menu – complete with the likes of Salt and Chilli Chicken, Bruschetta, Ceasar Salad, Chickpea Fritters, Sausages in Fennel Sauce and more!
The Tapas menu is priced at 3 for £10, or 5 for £15. Manager Jessica explained the inspiration behind the idea:
“We realise how much people enjoy the beer garden for cocktails and always love to eat their food out there. Our nachos have been so popular, that we thought a brand new exciting Tapas menu would work really well for our customers!
Myself and head chef & owner Jim McCarthy are always coming up with new and exciting ideas. There’s always something new going on at Buskers!”
Buskers are open week days 12am – 9pm; Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am – 10pm, and until 8pm on Sunday’s.
