South Belfast cafe The Thinking Cup went viral across social media recently following the announcement of their scheme in which they aim to give past offenders a new start.
It saw a group of young ex-prisoners turning their hand to making coffee in an attempt to rehabilitate themselves.
Participants in the project must have children themselves in an attempt to set an example for their family.
Those behind the project have said their motivation comes from research which shows that over half of children whose parents offend are likely to offend themselves. (You can read the full story here: Belfast Cafe Helps Turn Ex-Prisoners Into Budding Baristas).
Now they are offering a role as a student intern.
Looking for an: “Outside-the-box’ thinking intern required for social media/ marketing” The Thinking Cup is after someone who can simply ‘commit to one per day per week. Any day suits, so long as it’s a Wednesday!’
In return, you will be fed a tasty lunch, be kept in constant supply of coffee ‘served in a vessel of your choosing’ and as an added extra, you’ll even get tickets for you and a pal for their bi-monthly #CocktailComedyClub.
