This week’s My Belfast Q&A is with Leanne McDowell.
The 19-year-old marketing student was crowned Therapie Miss Northern Ireland this month after she impressed the panel of judges with her beauty, charm and personality.
where the heart is!
Tell us something your mum doesn’t know about you?
On a ‘cheat day’ I have a few too many chocolate cookies… yum!
What would you do if you had the keys to the city for the day?
As I am an ambassador for the Children’s Hospice I would hold a huge party type fundraiser and encourage all of Northern Ireland to get involved.
What’s the most interesting discovery you’ve made in Belfast?
The most interesting thing I have discovered while driving in my stylish Fiat 500 is that Belfast Zoo is home to the only purple-faced langurs in Europe!
Which building would you most like to be locked in overnight?
Blush on the Lisburn Road!! I would spend all night trying on all the gorgeous dresses.
Describe your perfect day in the city?
My perfect day in Belfast would start with some treatments in Therapie Clinic, then getting my favourite spray than Bronze Leaf. Next stop would be getting a big bouncy blow dry from Michele International followed by the perfect make up look by Paddy McGurgan so I would be Miss Northern Ireland ready for dinner at Nu Delhi. To finish off my perfect day I would spend the evening at the Grand Opera House.
Earliest Belfast memory?
My earliest Belfast memory was going to a Westlife concert in the Odyssey. I had a huge celebrity crush on Shane Filan!
What movie most closely resembles your life story and why?
My life story is very unique and I can’t pinpoint a movie that resembles my entire life. I would love a movie about myself and would be honoured if the very beautiful Former Miss Northern Ireland Zoe Salmon would play the role of me as she has been a huge inspiration to me growing up and entering the Therapie Miss Northern Ireland this year!
Sum up Belfast in three words?
Fun, friendly and vibrant!
