A new stained-glass window has been unveiled at City Hall to mark the contribution women in Belfast have made to culture, industry and society.
The window depicts the Belfast “millies” and highlights the struggle women have faced throughout history as they fought for equality.
The invaluable contribution that women in Belfast have made to culture, industry and society is being marked by Belfast City Council with the unveiling of a stained-glass window at City Hall ahead of International Women’s Day (IWD).
A stunning illustration of Belfast women mill workers, signifying the struggles women have faced throughout history, the window will also be one of the highlights of a newly created tour of City Hall artefacts which concentrates on women in Belfast.
