Greggs could be on its way to Belfast with up to 10 locations being scouted in the city.
The bakery giant, who opened its first shop at the new Applegreen services on the M2 earlier this year, is looking at 50 possible locations across Northern Ireland.
Greggs, the largest bakery chain in the UK, has 1,670 stores located across the Britain and employs on average of 10 people per store so it would be a major jobs boost if we ended up with 50 shops across NI.
While its sausage rolls and steak bake are the big draws Greggs have also introduced healthier sandwiches and flatbreads to its repertoire.
