Solo Kitchen & Bar have just launched a unique new cocktail – and it’s proving to be very popular!
The speciality cocktail called the ‘What’s the quack?’ contains Bombay Sapphire, Blue Curaçao, sugared egg white foam and freshly squeezed lemon juice served in a Martini glass – and most importantly of all, it features a miniature floating rubber duck!
Whilst the standard price is £8.50, we’re reliably informed that if you head down Monday to Friday between 2pm – 6:30pm, you can make use of the buy one get one free cocktails!
Shari Bourke, Solo’s Business Developer, explained the fun idea behind the spontaneous summer cocktail:
“The idea basically just came from a revamp of our cocktail menu, with the summer months in mind – there is no particular significance to the duck, just a wacky idea I came up with & everyone is loving the novelty of the miniature floating duck!”
Solo has been making quite the mark since it reopened in Belfast’s city centre, less than 100 yards across the road from City Hall.
Having been previously well known in decades past as The Wimpy and Carlton Bar, the Wellington Place hotspot was transformed back in January into one of Belfast’s first Tapas Bar and European fusion restaurants specialising in traditional modern contemporary cuisine with an eclectic mix.
The newly added to the menu Solo breakfast comes particularly highly recommended. Definitely worth keeping in mind if you get a bit too quackers this weekend!
