3. Lughnasa International Friel Festival
August 27 – 31
The 1st annual Lughnasa International Friel Festival, Belfast, Here We Come! will run from 27 – 31 August 2015, celebrating Ireland’s greatest living playwright Brian Friel through music, dance, food, kites and women!
At the heart of the festival programme will be a signature production of one of Brian Friel’s key plays, Dancing at Lughnasa, produced by the Lyric Theatre, from August 26 – September 27 and directed by Annabelle Comyn.
4. Rudridge Ultimate Strongman Giant Weekend

5. Van Morrison Walking Tour

Guide Lynn Corken will take you on a journey through the east Belfast of Van’s youth. A wonderful opportunity to visit some of the places that Morrison knew as a child growing up.

6. Tennent’s Vital
Boucher Road Playing Fields

Tennent’s Vital is back for 2015 with some of the biggest acts in the world and hottest breakthrough talent heading to Belfast over 29th – 30th August. This year’s festival features artists including superstar DJ Calvin Harris, global stars The Script, chart-topping songstress Ellie Goulding, Irish rockers Kodaline and many more.
With Tennent’s Vital 2015 shaping up to be the highlight of the summer, the crowd at Boucher Road Playing Fields are sure to have a phenomenal few days over August 29 and 30.
